Illinois State University has a culture of integrated planning and aligns its priorities with the strategic plan, Excellence by Design: 2024-2030. 

Strategic Planning Steering Team

A Strategic Planning Steering Team, comprised of representation across the University serves as the lead over this process.

The Strategic Planning Steering Team charged Excellence by Design (EBD) Champions to lead the advancement of the goals and metrics in each of the four strategic directions.

Each EBD Champion serves as a liaison to the Strategic Planning Steering Team and is carrying forward the work of the Action Planning Teams that drafted actions and metrics in FY25. EBD Champions may lead other teams in this work, as illustrated in the diagram below.
